The
Watson Snaffle unites the benefits of the unique Mikmar
sweet-iron mouthpiece with the simplicity of a loose ring
snaffle. Richard Watson’s main goal was to create
an effective loose ring with a pinch-less cheek.  The bit
provides a wide sleeve and a flat link connecting the mouthpiece
to the cheek. This design allows the mouthpiece to move
comfortably on the ring, keeping it in the ideal position
over the tongue, as well as preventing the bit from sliding
through and pinching the mouth. The wide sleeve design
also is an excellent directional aid.
